About Me
Hi I’m Justin.
After Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, I went back to the Philippines to support the relief effort. I found myself volunteering with local fisherman building traditional outrigged canoes (bangka). This led me to study permaculture in Australia. When I returned to the states, I studied woodworking in Oakland, CA at Laney College and went on to learn boat carpentry at Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Townsend, WA. I moved east to refine my skills at boatyards in Cape Cod, MA and Long Island, NY. I took my experience boatbuilding and found my passion in furniture making, tiny house builds, and van conversions. I’ve worked with craftspeople in New York City, and my current home base, Asheville, NC. I love to take on new challenges and create multi-functional designs that improve my clients lives and their connection to nature.
